A drug once known almost exclusively for preventing organ transplant rejection is now at the center of a National Institute on Aging-funded clinical study at UT Health San Antonio, the academic health center of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio). The study aims to determine how rapamycin should be used in older adults to improve health outcomes and aging-related conditions.
