Circ Expands Manufacturing Network Through New Partnership

Trending 1 hour ago

Circ has announced a new partnership with Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber Co, a leading viscose filament producer, to strengthen its role in the circular textile economy by providing fashion supply chains with access to recycled fibers.

Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber Co will source Circ’s recycled pulp for its commercial-grade viscose filament production, acting as a commercial partner in China. The company claims to have the world’s largest viscose filament production capacity.

The viscose filament produced will be supplied to global fashion brands and mills in China, the largest textile manufacturing hub worldwide.

Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ, stated, “This agreement marks an important step in deepening Circ’s presence in Asia and expanding the global network of manufacturing partners who share our vision for circularity.”

He added, “By integrating our technology with the world’s leading fiber manufacturers, we are accelerating the transition to a truly circular textile economy and building the infrastructure needed to scale it globally.”

Shao Changjin, Chairman of Bailu Group, commented, “Xinxiang Chemical Fiber and Circ are collaborating on innovation to provide leading solutions for recycling textile waste, jointly promoting green, low-carbon, circular, and sustainable development in the textile and apparel industry.”

This partnership aims to establish a closed-loop model in China and represents a crucial step toward reducing dependence on virgin raw materials. It offers a sustainable alternative for fashion brands striving to meet climate and circularity goals.

Last year, Circ completed a $25 million funding round to scale its technology industrially.

The company has also formed successful public partnerships with major brands such as Zara, Mara Hoffman, United Arrows, and Christian Siriano.
